New Mexico among solar energy leaders

SANTA FE, N.M.—A new report says New Mexico is among the nation’s leaders in production of electricity from solar power.
The Solar Energy Industry Association says New Mexico ranked fourth nationally last year in photovoltaic solar system installations by residential and commercial customers and utilities. Those projects provided 116 megawatts of power. California, New Jersey and Arizona were ahead of New Mexico.
New Mexico ranked seventh in 2010.
The state Public Regulation Commission attributes part of the growth to New Mexico’s requirements that utilities generate part of their electricity from renewable sources such as solar energy. The federal government also has provided grants and tax credits for solar energy projects.
The PRC said New Mexico ranks first in the nation in amount of installed solar power generation per person.

solar energy is hamfrul to mankind because it exposes UVA and UVB rays into out skin. our skin pigment helps protect us but sometimes that is not enough. the layers of skin that we have are thin and when the rays hit them, it can be very easy for cancer to develop.

If I mount a flat surface which poitns to certain constant direction. At certain place of the world. I now need to estimate the maximum amount of Solar radiation energy which this surface can get during certain time.Is there a PC program or an algorithm that can make this estimate for me?The actual problem.I need to know how much maximum energy can I get during a year, if I put solar cells or solar collectors on my house tilted roof?Is there anyone who can somehow help me?Thank you in advance.
